There's something about Chrysoprase and it's waxy luster and gorgeous colour that I really love. Chrysoprase is a stunning, apple-green gemstone and arguably the most sought after variety of the Chalcedony family. It derives its colour from nickel and its hardness and striking colour make it a popular gemstone for jewellery as well as carvings. This is a beautiful example of Chrysoprase.

Chrysoprase has been admired for its association with healing, especially in terms of forgiveness, whilst chalcedony overall is considered a sacred stone by Native Americans, that nurtures and promotes brotherhood and goodwill. Chalcedony is further said to alleviate hostility, irritability and melancholy.
