4.23ct Opal

This opal is much prettier in 'real life' than in our accompanying video and photo, which just don't seem to have captured how much rainbow sparkle is going on here, against a much 'whiter' overall hue to the gemstone. Predominantly strong pink flashes, together with blue, green and yellow. 

Opal celebrates an October birthday, as well as a 12th and 14th Anniversary. Opal is regarded as a stone strongly associated with the emotions, including love and passion. It is also thought to promote spontaneity, imagination, dreams and healing. Varieties of opal include black opal, common opal, white opal, chocolate opal, opal-in-matrix, Australian boulder opal, opal doublet, opal triplet and fire opal.
